juke box-victory, bond. guess why?
where do i begin? yesterday was great! let's see.
woke up early to have a hot bath before going to help for THE competition. i was soo excited but so very nervous at the same time. i guess because of our expectations this time around. so anyway, we registered at a quarter past 8 and almost immediately we're referred to as the 'last minute team'. lol. lucky team number 33. our marshal this time was junie, who coincidentally is the vice president of the a-levels law student council or something of that sort and the one who helped us get into the competition. so anyways, we got there early and found out other schools had sent up to 6 teams! and here we were with only one team, i was quite intimidated cos schools like du are really good, what more if they send so many teams.
the five games this year were the same as last year. sooo nerdy fun. haha. the 3 whodunnit? cases were much easier than last year except for the one lee quin and i worked on. got all the answers right though, which was great. then for trivia quiz, we found out a few of the questions were actually the same as last year's. lol. cliches were funny, haha. they even had one by yoda and as usual, one by buddha. the funniest was napoleon bonaparte. "never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake". after that was what's your verdict?. that was good too. got both of the cases with all the reasons correct. best alibi and best plea was okay. worked on that with su and lee quin. guess what? was so much pressure for me. lol. the genus this year was fruits. comparatively easier compared to last year's which was dances. yeah. got 7 of them right. missed out on blackcurrant, ciku (which they spelt as chickoo, btw.) and pomelo. they posted the results for the first 3 games before lunch break. we were tied for third then with 58.5 points.
moot court was booringgg. was about school bullies this year. the bailiff wasn't so funny this year. maybe cos he didn't have the build and tone. hmm. anyway, sat through that then they announced the results. i wasn't really expecting anything. mainly because i wasn't confident about our alibi and the fact that a few teams got perfect scores for guess what?. anyway, when they announced that du got 2nd runners-up, i have no idea why but i kind of lost hope. maybe cos that was the most i was expecting. lol. then they announced,"first runners-up, sekolah menengah kebangsaan assunta, and they only sent one team." i was so shocked. haha. was soooo liberating the fact that we won second place. aaaaahhh. a medal, cert and 150rm in my pocket. heavenly.
so we took pictures and stuff, changed, then headed off to school for the sewo concert. that was cool. because of the company. haha. performances were okay. some were reaallly good like jean's dance and the bhangra. had a great time with may, rachel, joyce and a few cu members. met armand for the first time. showed off my bling bling, haha, and saw miss chew at the registration table. honestly, the lady's never been so happy to see me. she even hugged my in front of salmah. after that had dinner at cameron towers with sa ee and sui lin's families. sat with my darling twinnies which was super fun. saw sweet yee there who was taking out. then headed back to sa ee's place to chill out. was fun using the massage devices and stuff. (yes lee quin, sex toys.) then came back, went online for awhile and passed out on my bed at 11.
yep. my epitome of one of the best days one could have. okay, now i reeaallly need to do some math. love ya.
